1st Vice Mayor Alvin Fernandez Cheer Dance Showdown
The Ist Vice Mayor Alvin Fernandez Cheerdance Showdown was held at the Don Alipio Fernandez Sr. People's Astrodome as sidelight of the 5th Mayor's Cup. Six cheerdance teams participated in the high school division while two teams competed in the elementary division with Ednas School Junior ZIPS winning over the Divine Word Academy of Dagupan Junior VIPERS. The high school cheerdance championship trophy was won by the Dominican School HAVENS. The other winners were Judge Jose De Venecia High School WARRIORS, second place and Ednas School ZIPS, third place. Acting Mayor Alvin Fernandez, who delivered an inspirational message, personally awarded the trophies to the winning teams.
It was also at this time that the Acting Mayor awarded Mr. Jun Cansino(organizer) a trophy together with Willy Lomibao of the Dagupan Jaycees, Inc for his valuable contribution to the sports development of the city.
