He was accompanied by Bureau of Immigration Chief of Staff Alex Fernandez. Aboard the Philippine Airlines flight PR102 bound for Los Angeles, he was seated at 14K. He later posed for a photo op with husband
and wife nurses, Carlos and MaryAnn Dehesa, whom he met inside the plane. At the Los Angeles airport, he was welcomed by Paul Quinto(Mapandan) and Manny Rabara (Rosales), both officers of Pangasinan Association of Greater Long Beach Inc.
