Vice Mayor Alvin recently visited the Dagupan City Library for different purposes. First, he gave a copy of the souvenir program of the Pangasinan Association of Greater Long Beach, Inc. in California, where he was guest speaker and inducting officer representing Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Al Fernandez. Second, he inspected the computer and internet access provided by the Sangguniang Panlungsod to the City Library for free usage to library card holders. Third, he congratulated Mrs. Rufina Meneses, who is now the Chief Librarian after her appointment was approved by the Civil Service Commission last July 25. Lastly, he congratulated Mrs. Corazon Langit for her election as National Vice President of the Philippine Public Librarians League, Inc. in an election held at the National Library of the Philippines last August 18. Langit, who is at present Librarian 1 of the city, is the outgoing PRO of PPLLI. She is also the editor of the Association's newsletter.
