Pangasinan-La Union ConCom consultation

The Pangasinan-La Union Consultation was a huge success. Commissioners Levy Laus, Mayor Oscar Rodriguez, Linda Jimeno, Sr. Luz Soriano, Rey Teves, Raul Lambino and Vice Mayor Alvin Fernandez were the Consultative Commissioners who attended the consultation. It was held at the Regency Hotel in Pangasinan, last Dec. 2, starting 8 a.m. for the much debated proposals on charter change. Basically, the result was an overwhelming shift to Unicameral Parliament. The people were also very much inclined in the liberalization of the economic provisions subject to restrictions and limitations and safety nets that the parliament may deem necessary for the welfare of the Filipino people. The people, however, were quite hesitant to the shift to federalism. They however agreed on the theory that federalism shall be good for the country.
